Wind power helps with energy costs, if you’re talking automotive related costs, drilling would be a temporary solution, although it’s still better than begging the filthy saudis for their oil

It’s not. Wind power is very inefficient in most areas. Not to mention there is no way to run a car off wind.
I think they got there idea’s from the “wind sail” thing that ships used to use to move along the water.
We should really be careful.. the progressives are catching up to us conservatives. Before you know it they’ll be advocating steam.

i will say this. if you really believe drilling and more drilling will just take care of your problems in the future then please go ahead and vote for the driller. i am quite sure the mistake is wrong. Even if we drilled it wouldnt become helpful for years and even if we drill enough, it will not be enough by our consumption by that time anyway which will grow largely by that time. Of course hey it makes sense lets drill more holes. I am sure if we drill enough we will come up with a solution to solve all our problems instead of becoming self sustaining in a decade. How sad the status quo wants to be.

Drill Baby Drill. We have enormous supplies of oil here in Alaska. Natural Gas too.

By switching it to electric so it doesn’t need fuel, the wind energy can be diverted into the car so it can run without the use of the petrol.

it won’t…..That is what cat gas is for. My cat makes enough gas to fuel everyone’s car for years and years to come.

It’s not but will presumably reduce other energy costs some oil related. However Larry King had the CEO of Shell on a while back. There’s not as much as we are led to believe and difficult to get at with today’s technology. Also we won’t get any benefit for 10 years or until McCain is out of office or dead. I think we all see a pattern here don’t we?
Let’s be honest we need a different solution and that was pointed out when Carter was President yet here we are 20 years later with the same situation, the same answers and apparently the same America. We haven’t learned a thing.
Come on Americans should be wise to this now.

If you believe the argument that high gas prices are caused by high demand for oil, converting production of electricity from petroleum-based generators to “something else” will reduce that demand.
Reduced demand should, in turn, reduce prices.
